Metroweather aims to contribute to the realization of an “air-mobility society” and “safe and secure urban living” by solving problems related to “wind” through the use of compact, high-performance Doppler LiDAR that enable us to identify and visualize air traffic conditions in the sky in an objective manner. By financing the Series A round, we will further deepen cooperation with our shareholders, build an organizational structure with an eye to not only domestic but also overseas expansion, and accelerate further business development.
Furthermore, MetroWeather will be able to provide high-definition, high-resolution information in real time, which is essential for drone operations, through the use of the Doppler LiDAR. This will enable us to achieve the “assurance of high-level safety” that is a major hurdle to Level 4 flying, and we aim to become an indispensable infrastructure for a drone-driven society. Furthermore, by combining our own weather forecasting simulations, we will enter a wide range of markets related to our technology, including urban disaster prevention, nuclear power generation, aviation, marine transport, and railroads, as well as drone-related fields.
